Xone Manager App

Problem

After customers received Xone beacons from Yext, they needed a way to quickly and easily verify the installation of these beacons at their locations. Thus, we created the Xone Manager app.

Research
Design research was focused first on market and competitor analysis. After comprehending the market, the design research honed in on UI best practices for status/progress indication, mapping, and calibration.

teration focused primarily on what beacon, location, and account information was mission-critical to display, and on what screen this and subsequent information would appear..

However, after testing beacon set-up with the dev app, we found the process could be simpler. These findings encouraged us to conclude that the initial app release would include only basic functionality users needed to successfully activate beacons.

Team & Role
The Xone Manager app team consisted of one Product Manager, two UX designers, and a team of engineers. My role was to take the product from initial-round wireframes through the design process: iteration, determination of interactions (swipe, tap, pull-up), usage of iOS and Android layouts and native components, and visual design.
